| What is the admission age at AAK? |
 | AAK admits Students at Pre Kindergarten (PK) at three years of age and at Kindergarten (KG) at five years old

| How much are the tuition fees? |
 | Tuition fees are $250 for PK and $240 for K—6. AAK offers sibling discounts as follows: the first sibling gets 40% off, the second gets 60% off, and the third gets 80% off. AAK also offers scholarships to elementary students only.

| Why elementary students only? |
 | Since day one, IEFK has been trying its best not to allow the financial inability to prevent parents from enrolling their students at AAK. In order for that to happen, AAK provides financial aid to the students at mandatory stage of learning. Since PK is an optional stage of learning, students do not receive financial aid there.

| Up to what grade does AAK extend? |
 | AAK offers classes at grades PK—6 with the intention of adding grades 7 and 8 one grade a year. |
| If a child has to transfer from AAK to any other school, public or private, will his/her grades be transferable? |
 | Absolutely! The child may even score at higher grades in the school to which he/she transferred, as our expectations are far more rigorous. |
| What type of curriculum does AAK follow? |
 | AAK follows the academic approach of the curriculum delivery, balanced with humanistic and social aspects. Both books and hands-on activities are main ways of knowledge acquisition at AAK. AAK has adopted Oak Ridge Curriculum, for it has rigorous expectations. |
| How can parents express their concerns? |
 | Parents’ feedback is very valuable to AAK. Parents can always schedule for meetings with both teachers and principal to express their concerns. They also can take their concerns to the IEFK Board, if they feel that their concerns were not addressed properly by the teachers and the principal. Also, AAK runs a parent survey on a yearly basis. | How does AAK communicate with parents? |
 | At the beginning of each school, AAK hands out a packet containing teachers’ introductory letters, supplies list, yearly calendar, and AAK policies and procedures. Teachers at AAK send home bi-weekly newsletters. Also, the school publishes its general newsletter each semester. In addition, the administration issues different memoranda regarding all other purposes. AAK hosts the School Open House and P/T Conferences. Finally, AAK communicates information via its website. |
| How can parents participate in AAK? |
 | Since day one, parents are participating in a variety of forms in AAK. Their participation got even more effective through the PTA. This year, we are expecting a full involvement from parents in AAK PTA. |
| Which calendar does AAK follow? |
 | Due to affiliation, AAK follows Knox County Schools’ calendar. However, AAK goes on holiday during both Islamic Feasts. |
| Is AAK an Arabic school? |
 | No. AAK is an American curriculum school in which instruction is delivered in English. However, AAK provides Arabic as a second language courses. |
| Is AAK a Madrasa? |
 | Not in the sense the word is used in the Indo-Pak sub-continent! AAK is an American curriculum school, which provides Quran and Islamic Studies classes. |
| What are IEFK and AAK? |
 | Islamic Education Foundation of Knoxville (IEFK), Inc. is a Tennessee Sate incorporated non-profit, tax-exempt organization whose main assignment is to establish, run, and supervise Annoor Academy of Knoxville (AAK).

| How do IEFK Board members get on the board? |
 | There are nine members on the IEFK Board of Directors. Unless reelected or reappointed, a Board Member serve for 3 years. MCK Shura appoints one third, and parents of AAK elect one third and rest are selected by the existing IEFK Board Members. |
